Dear Families
The end of the school year is here and we wish all our families a happy and safe holiday period. As you are out and about over the holidays, it is always a good time to remind our students about some of the PBL expectations they know so well. “I stay with the group” and “I stop, I think and I make a good choice” are both great reminders.
2024 sees a significant increase in our student numbers, and we will welcome a number of new staff to accommodate this enrolment growth. Many new families will also join our school community.
We wish all our graduating Year 6 students all the best in their future endeavours.
We look forward to reconnecting with our school community at the start of next year.
Report Cards
Semester Two report cards have been emailed home to families yesterday afternoon. Please check your email and/or junk mail folder to find a progress report for your child.
If you have any queries about the report card, please contact your class teacher.
If you did not receive the report card, please contact the office.
Wishing you all a wonderful holiday break and we look forward to seeing all the students back at school on Monday 22 January!
Best wishes and regards

What an absolutely wonderful year it has been.
A warm thank you to all staff, students, families and community members for making our school a safe, inclusive and great place to work and learn.
Our Year 6 Graduation was a wonderful ceremony that celebrated the school experiences of all our students across their final year here at Caboolture Special School. Laughs and tears were shed by many and it was a truly memorable occasion.
Year 6 Graduation 2023
A fond farewell to our Year 6 students who embark on a new journey into High School. We will miss you all and know you will continue to grow, learn and succeed.
From all of us here at Caboolture Special School we wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and enjoyable holiday break.
Kind regards,
Sheree Carter
Deputy Principal
End of Year Concert
Week 10 would not be complete without our annual End of Year Concert. All classes worked hard to practice their dance moves for their performances. Lots of smiles and excitement filled both the lower and upper school concerts. It was wonderful to see classes come and watch each other and also the overwhelming number of friends and families that came along to see our students be the stars of the show.
Best wishes to our Year 6 students heading off to Lee Street next year. It has been a pleasure getting to know all of you and seeing you grow and change over the past few years.
Wishing all families, a safe and happy holiday season, looking forward to returning in 2024.

Curriculum Corner
In the lead-up to Semester 1, 2024 our dedicated teachers have been participating in pre-moderation sessions. Teachers have explored pedagogy and collaborated together to form new teaching teams for 2024. Our curriculum for next year offers age-appropriate contexts. Caboolture Special School will have three curriculum overviews; prep, lower years and upper years. Our teachers have enthusiastically been exchanging ideas, sharing best pedagogical practices and planning together. As we conclude the pre-moderation sessions, we eagerly anticipate the start of Semester 1, 2024. Our teachers will have engaging and rich learning experiences to welcome your student to school for 2024.
As the year comes to a close, we extend our warmest wishes to our school community for a safe and enjoyable holiday season. We look forward to welcoming your family back to our school in 2024!

Positive Behaviour for Learning
What an exciting year for PBL! The team has had the opportunity to support many students and families across the school. It has been wonderful to see student growth across so many classrooms. This has also given us the opportunity to host many Gold Star Celebrations with Star Man, it is wonderful to see the joy on students face as they interact together enjoying sensory play and morning tea. The PBL team introduced our new Diamond Placemat award which gave the students an opportunity to choose their own PBL reward, many students choosing bike riding and books and games in the library. To finish the year, we hosted the annual PBL rewards day. It’s a day of celebration filled with bright colours, water foam and fun to congratulate the students on another wonderful year at Caboolture Special School.
In 2024 PBL at Caboolture Special School will have a new look Matrix, we look forward to sharing this with families and students in the new year. We thank all of the staff and students at Caboolture Special School for their hard work and commitment this year.
