Curriculum Corner
Classes have been busy all over the school with students showing staff what they have learnt this semester. Teachers are gathering observations and work samples to compile and make judgements for Semester 2 reporting. This week teachers will meet with a selection of work samples and moderate to come to a shared understanding of achievement levels before confirming each student’s final grade.
Semester 2 report cards will be emailed out during Week 10, make sure your contact details are up to date.

Creativity, collaboration and commitment
It really does take a village to raise and educate a child and we have some amazing people willing to go the extra mile to create inspiring and engaging learning environments. In Class N the educators joined forces with our Auxiliary staff to erect a pulley system in the classroom that links to a story that has been read. The story being explored was 'The Lighthouse Keepers Lunch' and the main character used a pulley to deliver lunches. The staff are having so much fun delivering the students lunches via the pulley much to everyone's delight. We thank Waine our Groundsman for his support to make this happen and we look forward to seeing what else we can use our pulley for - possibilities are endless when you have passionate and committed staff.
Regards,
Tanya Jolly
